Did you know that you can make the classic dessert, Jell-o, glow in the dark?
You Will Need :
- One package of Jell-o or gelatin
- One cup of water
- One cup of tonic water
- Black Light
Process :
Boil one cup of water. Pour your jell-o or gelatin into a bowl. Pour the cup of boiling water into the bowl and stir until the powder has dissolved. Add in another cup of tonic water, and stir. Refrigerate the jell-o for four hours, or until it has set. Next, place it under your black light. The jell-o will glow bright blue.
Tonic water contains a chemical called quinine, and blue is the fluorescence of quinine. So no matter what color, and, or flavor you use, it will always be the same blue color.
